A homemaker focuses more on keeping the home clean, safe, and organized so the senior can live comfortably.
This can include:

• Light housekeeping (laundry, dusting, vacuuming)
   
• Meal preparation and planning
   
• Grocery shopping and errands
   
• Changing linens and making beds
   
• Providing companionship
   

Homemaking is perfect for clients who may not need personal care but benefit from a little help around the house.

What is SSBG?

The Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) program helps provide important support to seniors and families in need of care. Through this program, funding is provided to agencies like ours so we can offer essential home care services that help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

With SSBG support, seniors may receive assistance such as:

• Homemaking services — help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
   
•  Personal care — assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
   
•  Transportation — rides to medical appointments or community activities
   
• Companionship and support — helping seniors stay active and connected
   

The goal of the SSBG program is to improve quality of life, promote independence, and ensure that every individual receives the compassionate care they deserve
